GrandMaster Vassily Ivanchuk wrapped up his fine tournament with a win in the final round to assure the tournament win, by 1.5 pts no less! Great job by GM Ivanchuk!
I woke up late today, not a good day for me...but goes with the territory. So I don't know when each game finished. For example, if Ivanchuk won before the next two games were played, I can see why they just went for draws. GM Topalov and GM Radjabov seemed fine in achieving a drawn position, going for the repetition draw.
GM Aronian and GM Bu Xiangzhi seemed content to finish with a repetition draw as well, to tie for last place, neither having the tournament they wished they would have had. It was all Ivanchuk for MTel Masters 2008.
