After a busy day of chess, which is winding down to just Linares 2009, since Kamsky-Topalov Candidate's is over with GM Veselin Topalov winning. Aeroflot 2009 finishing the other day as well, I think I can take a deep breath now. Whew.

Linares 2009 Round 7 Pairings & Results

Here are today's pairings at Linares, I will update the results when available, if they aren't too late for this poor cat. Boy, I think I will sleep all of next January just to prepare for the last two weeks of February's tournaments! It has kept me busy, that's for sure. And a new pet peeve, google starts posting ads from companies I have affiliations with....sheesh, can't they do that to a big website? Me and my $0.28 earnings object! First we will start off with the first game of the last half of Kamsky-Topalov, being still even is a surprise to some people, to others with faith in their man, Kamsky, it's an "I told you so!" But there's still five games to go, we shall see!

Linares 2009 Round 4 Pairings and results

Round 4 of Linares is ongoing today as is Aeroflot 2009, having a bit of trouble getting the pairings of today's Aeroflot round. Web is very slow over there from all the traffic as people get more interested in today's games in Linares and Moscow with the Kamsky-Topalov candidates match is a rest day. But they will be back at it tomorrow, again, will be interesting to see if Kamsky gained confidence as he has the

Linares 2009 Soon, Participants and Info

Here is the field for the Linares Super Tournament, held in Linares, Spain. February 19 - March 7. It is a double-round robin tournament of 14 rounds, with a time control of 40 moves in 120 min, 20 moves in 60 minutes, followed by a final 20 minutes after move 60. Rest days are February 23th, 27th and March 4th. It will be tough keeping up with all the action in the last two week of February into March, but who could ask for better chess?
