Really Late Update...
I'm sorry for the lack of news lately, not that there hasn't been any. Smallville, GM Hikaru Nakamura played some blitz games some days back. He had been taken off my noplay list since Aug 9, 2008, when the new Rybka Engine came out. Also that same day, GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (azerichess) had played a few games as well. Recently GM Alexey Dreev and GM Bassem Amin played a few games, with GM Amin even playing some standard! GM Amin also collected a blitz win against TransWarp, one thing about reloading an engine after it crashes in the Chesspartner interface, you have to reset your books and settings sometimes. This was the case when TransWarp played 1....a6?! as a defense. You will see this game below, as well as GM Amin's standard draw. I'm trying to get fired up for Corus! But last week, I tried walking to the store, totally messed me up for some days...only thing I had to look forward to was some new games to look at by TransWarp. So Congrats to GM Bassem Amin for his blitz win and standard draw! I will post the earlier games in another post and the later games in a post after that.

Smallville plays again
GM Hikaru Nakamura ICC Handle: Smallville played TransWarp again, but sadly he tried to keep playing beyond the formula parameters, there's a bug in the system where you can bypass ICC Player Formula Minimum rating to play parameter, I'm not saying GM Nakamura is a bad player, don't get me wrong, but his rating was below 700 pts of TransWarp's, this is usually not the case, I would have loved him to be able to play more games.
But after a person is 716-17 pts below another person's/computer's rating, you play risking 0 rating pts. So in essence GM Nakamura could have played forever and TW would gain nothing but only stand to lose pts..it's only fair.
More details tomorrow and games from Smallville and GM Mamedyarov who also played today, I just don't feel well after trying to walk to the store...very sore and can barely move.

Nanjing Super GM 2008 Rounds 3 and 4

GM Movsesian Sergei 1/2-1/2 GM Aronian Levon
GM Bu Xiangzhi 1/2-1/2 GM Svidler Peter
All hostilities end in a truce in round 3, leaving round 3 standings at as follows:
1-2 GM Levon Aronian, GM Bu Xiangzhi 2

TransWarp's Latest Game vs GM Dlugy Drawn
Lately, it's been kind of slow, but BOOO and Dlugy came to the rescue in the past 24 hours. I've been negligent in posting here because the last 3 days have been tests or Dr. appts. I get today and the weekend off, then back to the Doc's on Monday and x-rays sometime soon! Been postponing those because of all the other stuff, like a heart stress test, with the drug...God, if I could do the treadmill I would in a heartbeat (pardon the pun!). I believe it's spelled adenesine or adenasine, but boy, you get an idea what a heart attack is like! Glad it's over and hope the tests come out okay.
But to the latest game, GM Maxim Dlugy achieved a draw and that's what I will post here, it's very long because I wasn't monitoring the game, just had got my coffee and turned on the monitor when I saw it was in the +200 move range! I apologized to GM Dlugy and feel badly that I cannot monitor the machine all the time and this happens. But to get Deep Rybka to take risks, you have to turn up the contempt value, also helps with breaking blockades. Here is the game.

RE: FTC Blogger Compensation Endorsement Rule Dec 01, 2009
While TransWarp Chess does get compensation for banner ads from Google Adsense, Google Affiliate Program, Commission Junction Affiliate Program and Allposters.com. TransWarp Chess does try not to personally Endorse any specific product, while I the blogger may like the idea of certain products and services, it is up to you, the reader to decide if a product deserves to be looked at via the ads. I comment on chess and computer chess, this blog is NOT about the products that are featured in the ads. At any rate, to date TransWarp Chess' blog and the small sister blog Paranormal Questions, has in it's account $1.59 from Google Adsense, no distribution of funds until $50.00, $0.00 from Google Affiliate Program and $0.00 from CJ Affiliate Program, $5.74 in holding at Allposters.com until $25.00 is reached in commissions. All this well over a year of blogging, I guess some abuse the blogging system to the point that this rule was made, I hope this satisfies the FTC regulation, as to what I heard on the site, it sounded like if the blog itself was dedicated to a specific product/s. But best to be safe.
