KAPAMA3OB Saves the Day

Thanks to Dmitry Karamazov (KAPAMA3OB) TransWarp had some action last night. He is a strong blitz player who often plays TransWarp. I really appreciate his play as well. He may not be titled but has a win vs TransWarp I believe. I would have to check a previous post real quick, but as I have been working on my website so I can provide more games, I am too pooped. So although it might not be available in all areas yet, check out:
www.transwarpchess.com There is already a pgn file of some of TransWarp's games during the controversial abort time. Also a note, if you go through the games, the eval is always from TransWarp's point of view. So if you see a positive eval when TransWarp is playing as black, it means Rybka thinks it has an advantage. This is a ChessPartner bug I have never been able to solve. However when TransWarp is playing white, all evals are normal. It's only when TransWarp is black that the confusion starts.

Even though I have the website, I will have most of my comments here. With a website you can have much more space and bandwidth to provide games. However, this site is not free, I didn't want to put everyone through a bunch of popups..so I got the cheapest one I could find. It will still put a crimp on my checkbook, so I will also put the donate button on there as well. I often wish I was like one of those guys on playchess that pay as much as a good used car for a computer to play chess. But that's just not going to happen. Hit the lottery? Maybe, but you have to play to win..lol! Anyway, I just hope that this new venture will help Rybka gain more fans, as well as provide fun for those computer chess geeks like me out there looking around the web. Time to rest, Have Fun All!

Kind of slow lately...probably due to low rating.

Not much action lately, had a series of games with Wolf (GM Giorgi Kacheishvili) This was a nice short game. Wolf is also a new player for TransWarp, glad to have him play. The more the merrier.

TransWarp Ignored & !provisional impressions.

Well, since many rating pts have been taken from TransWarp, no IM or GM really seems interested in playing, since they have more pts to risk. This is another downfall of the hippo position players, they are basically just playing to gain pts at the expense of a computer that is helpless until the operator wakes up and can try to update the book. One of the risks of trying to be a service to high rated players and help them with their blitz, check opening lines they might play in a tournament.. I'm sure the hippo won't appear in tournaments as a result of all this. Maybe at lower level play with C players trying to blockade an expert or A player. But even then, as a former low B player (at my best, without all the pain meds and pain that got worse as the disease killed more and more of my muscle tissue). But once you get put on high doses of Morphine and 10mg of Percocet when the pain breaks through, trying to concentrate on a tournament game is hopeless, plus I would fail the drug test if I was a GM..lol!

Tankist and COMEGNIO were kind enough to play some standard chess, with COMEGNIO achieving a win. Now TransWarp has an official rating in standard and not provisional anymore. I really hate when people limit provisional play, after all, they were ALL provisional at one time! Then to get on a high horse and !provisional, (not play in formula). Not playing provisional players is a variable that should be taken out of ICC options. I know one Admin that would agree with that, (Kiebitz) a really cool admin who also set up the BettingBot game on ICC, which is a lot of fun for the human players, Comps can't play, but that's okay with me. I've had fun for years playing Bettingbot, but still haven't gotten my BM (BettingMaster) title. I stink :D

So let's hope TransWarp gets some blitz games, it's a good opportunity for those rated 2700+ to play instead of just 3000+! Also note: COMEGNIO and Tankist are two new players as well as that sneaky lodachnik I really hope he learned a lot playing pretty much the same game over and over. The bot JimmyS can note when a comp is crashing, too bad we can't have a bot that notes players repeating moves, but with so many games going on...I guess it would be impossible. But there is the system recording high rated games...you would think it would note the same ECO code over and over...hmn. Ahh well, tis life.

Update Done (Lodachnik game moved here)

Update done, don't really see much change. Will have to see with play online. Not sure what a good hash setting would be. Guess I will just have to dink around and try to find a good one. Been pretty sore today and yesterday with the weather and crawling around on the floor, banging up my hands trying to get those darn RAM sticks into those cramped slots. I feel like I've been punching the wall or something, hand are too big to fit into these darn micro motherboard areas, with all the Harddrives and the power supply and wires stuffed into such a small space. Well, off to put TW online...see how she does tonight.

TransWarp update

Well, after taking a bashing last night by people continuing to use the A00 System to get to the Hippo position. TW has to work on it's book again, sadly people cannot just play regular chess but have to rely on an exploit found to draw over and over. It's my job to change the openings around, but I wanted to have a variety of openings for those players who take chess seriously and want to work on games they would actually play in tournaments.

TransWarp is getting it's final update for this motherboard. 8GB of RAM, DDR2 6400. Supposed to speed up the front side bus as well...but we will see. It will probably be sometime before TransWarp is able to update it's hardware after this. I found a great deal that went with my small Kansas Food Sales Tax refund. So today, TransWarp will probably have the day off until maybe late tonight. To be totally honest, I kind of hate working on the books all the time, especially when transposition, or even repeating moves in the opening are done to confuse the computer, like why move a Bishop to g2 back to f1 and back to g2 again. Or instead of 0-0, move the king to h2 via f1-g1-h2 (after h3) . And then just mirror the moves on the black side. It's frustrating when you want to see real chess and not 50 move draws. Now I don't mind repetition draws or No Material draws, obviously this means the draw was real. Not that a 50 move draw isn't real, but when it's from work copied by other people repeatedly, it does get a bit dull.

The good news is, when Rybka 3.0 comes out, it will have a function to help avoid this blockading. Then we will see if people will come out and play then. I hope they do, then I can even remove people from my noplay list and just ignore the verbal abuse. I am going to find a game replayer I can put on here, followed by one of the games I'm talking about. It might take me a few days, we have a bit of lightning going today, don't want to get the comp zapped! Yikes, almost mentioned a rival comp! ;) Well, time to get busy!

Rybka 2.3.2a The Engine behind TransWarp

When I first started with the idea of using Computer Chess as a way to help deal with pain and depression from long term permanent disability, naturally I had to find a good engine.

At the time, Rybka 1 series was out along with Fruit. I was kind of undecided, but at the time had recieved a gift, so I bought both (They weren't as expensive as they are now) , compared them with matches on my computer and Rybka won most of the time. It was then that Rybka won it's first Computer Chess Championship. It was first developed by Vasik Rajlich (IM) and Jeroen Noomen (opening book work, I believe), I'm sure Vas had other help as well!

I then decided to start a Computer Chess account on ICC, first CreepingChess, devoted to Comp vs Comp play (Humans could play as well) After a while, with Creep going well, I decided to try a 6 month trial of a Human only comp. This as you know is, TransWarp. Now, generally, Human only comps are regarded with distaste by the comp vs comp crowd. Assuming they are just in it for the rating points. In my case, it was not. I just wanted to see for myself how well a computer could play vs humans. But I wanted to make sure there were NO limitations (except for the 700 pt rating difference rule, people who were over 700 pts below TransWarp's rating couldn't play, as the games would be unrated, I feel people play better when there's something up for stake and the opening book statistics wouldn't become skewed by dubious move wins against lower rated players), like having only 0 increment as an option, or just 1 second inc. TransWarp has always allowed any increment. Like Tactical, who only allows 1 second increment. GM Maxim Dlugy likes to play with 5 second increment, which is cool with me.

It's been a bumpy ride at times, I couldn't afford to keep CreepingChess online. I was having problems with crashes and in computer vs computer play, you often get rematched over & over and with auto accept on, you can have a marathon. But I would get threats of being norated, so for a while, I could only keep CreepingChess online while I sat here. Since humans don't play as often, it was easier to just stay with TransWarp until I could save to put Creep back online. Sadly, that didn't happen and the account got deleted, I thought we had a year, but I guess they changed that. Most of CreepingChess' games are with a slower processor, but can still be found if you do a search.

Wow, I lost track of the subject! It happens. Lots of pain meds do that at times. But I've stuck with Rybka since getting 1.2 I believe. I know there was only 64 bit and 32 bit versions at the time, no MP versions yet :) It sure is fun to use Multi-Processor with 64 bit OS. Soon to come, 8 GB of DDR2 6400 RAM. Will max out this machine, but I found a good deal, my little tax returns came in handy. That should be hopefully Tuesday, I would like to be able to observe the games and be online on my account, it sits unused while TransWarp is online. I may get online with it, but if a TransWarp game starts, I have to hightail it offline! Will have to ask in they Rybka forum (soon to be a link) what hashtable size I should use.

Anyway, despite Rybka's loss to Zappa Mexico in a 6 game match (Hardly enough to consider who's really stronger) I will always be a Rybka fan. Vas & Larry Kaufman (IM) are really cool guys. Larry joined the Rybka team and has been a great help. Rybka's demand caused the need to help distribution for the team by www.Chessok.com a few bugs at first, to be expected, but now a major part of their site, along with Chess Assistant 9.1, a great database AND gui to log into ICC and ChessOk's playing site. We are all patiently waiting for Rybka 3.0 to come out! It's supposed to come out with it's own interface as well, which would be nice, because they were made for each other! As far as I know, they are working out the last bugs and we may see it in a few months. Whenever it's stable, that's the main thing :)

Go Rybka!

Kind of tired today

Kind of tired and sore today, would like to thank Rahmaninov for playing a bunch of games yesterday and today. Hopefully, will get more games, but with the DosHermanas Over The Board tournament going on, I'm not too sure. A lot of people like to watch Topalov and Judit Polgar play today..and the final of that match vs GM Vallejo. Looks to be Topalov as the winner as he's ahead 2.5-0.5 in a 4 game match. So final tomorrow, April 20, 2008 GM Topalov vs GM Vallejo

Blitz Losses by TransWarp (controversial)

Okay, There have been at least 78 blockade and move a piece wins mixed with some crashes (not many) as well as loss by noescape, connections aren't always perfect. I don't consider these wins, it's either the same game played over & over, TransWarp crashes and someone takes advantage of it, and good old noescape (now turned off, in case TW crashes & the person playing MIGHT take mercy and disconnect to adjourn the game, usually too much to ask, instead they usually play another one..lol, hence my comments about Computers playing with no moral ability, but humans have the choice, usually their little devil on their shoulder wins the argument) Among these 55 wins I consider true wins are SOME blockade wins, due to the fact it was the first time that certain blockade opening was found, repeats are of course in the list of 78.

1. Smallville(29) GM Hikaru Nakamura
2. Goldmund(15) GM Alexander Rustemov
3-4. Sunofeast, Coffeehouse(2) Both Anonymous GMs
5-11. bizarre (GM Marcel Sisniega), ledope (GM Lenier Dominguez Perez), IBorg (anonymous), kava (IM Anton Kovalyov), Rahmaninov (anonymouse), Nielsen(anonymous, rumored to be GM Magnus Carlsen, but just a rumor), Dlugy (GM Maxim Dlugy) (1)

These are what I consider to be true wins. Sure there may be a few blockade & flag wins, but they weren't obviously duplicate games.

Bullet Losses suffered by TransWarp

First I will address bullet losses. Since bullet games are not recorded on ICC, I have lost 2 players names:

5 wins by scacho! I cannot review these games until a LONG search through pgn files is done. But so far, he's the man! IM Sergio Cacho FIDE Rating 2486.

2 wins by Smallville, GM Hikaru Nakamura. He doesn't really play bullet vs computers much as compared to playing blitz vs them. He has really fast hands and a fast thought process, I count flags in bullet as wins..after all it's bullet. Smallville may have mated TW, I don't know, unless again.. I do the long search.

1 win each by isodung (IM David Larino Nieto), KAPAMA3OB (IM Nikolay Noritsyn), bani (GM Hristos Banikas), A-Adly (GM Ahmed Adly) and sadly, a name lost.. 1 loss to Unknown. I have looked for this person, but to no avail yet. They know who he/she is, that's what matters.

Then finally, 1 loss due to noescape, hey you lose a connection now and then :/

Various Players TransWarp has encountered Pt. 4

This should bring the list up to current time. I may (and probably) have forgotten some names. I hope this doesn't upset anyone. Tomorrow I hope to post my statistics collected of Wins by players vs TransWarp, and controversial wins. #76-?

76. IM Rafal Antoniewski (bellicose) FIDE 2510 11 games back in Jan, 08.

77. GM Timur Gareev (UzbekDragon) FIDE 2570 2 quick games in March, 08. Hope some more.

78. IM Hrant Melkumyan (Pchyolka) FIDE 2534 Played a good many games in March as well.

79. (pharon)(GM) anonymous GM, played bullet with TransWarp.

80. IM Artur Gabrielian (Dinamit) FIDE 2494 Played 3 games at end of March, probably Dos Hermanas practice. But TW welcomes all who play chess like it should be played.

81. IM Sergio Cacho (scacho) FIDE 2486 recently played 7 games, let's hope he plays more!

82. GM Tu Hoang Thong (TuHoang) FIDE 2485 Played 16 games in March, be nice to have more of course!

83. GM Ahmed Adly (A-Adly) FIDE 2578 Another World Junior Champion, this one 2007! GM Adly plays bullet with TransWarp, always fun to watch!

84. IM Manuel Leon Hoyos (LeonHoyos) FIDE 2490 Has played a bunch of games this month (April, 08) with TransWarp, pretty cool.

85. (Apokalyptyk)(IM) anonymous IM, tried 5 games this month. However was leaning towards the Hippo system, after warning, hasn't played. Just to see how devastating this system is, look at TransWarp's draws....752 at the moment, most by blockade & move a piece back and forth.

86. GM Daniel Gormally (denmanisgod) FIDE 2508 Played 11 games recently and achieved 2 REAL draws, a stalemate and a No Material, way to do it!

87. IM Alexander Gasthofer (Traxx) FIDE 2469 Played a couple of games this month, let's hope more.

88. IM Davit Jojua (Deathhunter) FIDE 2463 Another new player this month, let's see if we get more games from this Georgian IM... You guys, again, the Country..NOT the state! ;) Which I'm sure he's proud of as well.

89. GM Marcel Sisniega (bizarre) FIDE 2435 Been inactive at ICC lately as well in FIDE. But was the first human to beat TransWarp. Interesting game to examine, TW is beat at the end, but makes a terrible move! Take the Queen with the bishop, sure it's lost but make the GM work for it! I think this was before 2.3.2a (Rybka)

90. IM David Larino Nieto(isodung) FIDE 2422 Beat TransWarp at bullet last year sometime..been a while. Always welcome bullet players.

What I have so far, I have no doubt forgotten to include some. Sorry about that, I will try tomorrow (if not too sore) to do the post on TransWarp's defeats. At least what I consider a real defeat. I consider 55 valid (a few iffy) and 78 just blockade and work the clock wins, with the same moves..etc. Plus some losses because of crashes or loss of connection (noescape).
Noescape is turned off now. But now I have to deal with disconnectors... it's always sumthin' isn't it?

Various Players TransWarp has encountered Pt. 3

Yikes, I didn't know what I was getting into, I've collected a lot of names for these poor fingers! So back at it! 51-75!

51. IM Pavel Ponkratov (Infernal-XaM) FIDE 2499 Has played 50+ games vs TW!

52. GM Ioannis (Giannis) Nikolaidis (Snooker) FIDE 2516 One of several cool Greek GM's to play!

53. GM Leinier Dominguez Perez (ledope) FIDE 2695 (#26 in the world) Spelled Lenier on FIDE's site, Leinier on ICC's site, however on ICC he had to enter it himself. 1 win vs TransWarp! After the the win, I guess he figured that was good enough for him :)

54. IM Aurelien Dunis (TheDuns) FIDE 2514 Played a good many games vs TW, but hasn't played since end of Feb.

55. FM Terry Lujan Renato (RENATEX) FIDE 2260 Up and Comer from Peru. ICC Blitz (2945)

56. (hail)(IM) ICC Blitz (3196) No activity from this anonymous IM on ICC lately but logins.

57. GM Valeriy Aveskulov (Prokuror) FIDE 2535 Took only 3 swings at TW, who ducked.

58. GM Tigran L. Petrosyan (TIGRANO) FIDE 2616 NOT the former World Champion, but a Champion in my heart. He has left ICC over a dispute, I do not know why, I think he was accused of being computer aided (opinion only) Follow his handle's link and try to figure it out for yourself. He was a fun guy to talk with, always thanked for the games! I am deeply saddened to find out he left ICC (Just now while fixing the link to his handle) Too bad for the fans, he played 257 blitz games with TW. Will be missed.

59. IM Anthony Wirig (BIZOO) FIDE 2477 Played only bullet games with TW & TW likes bullet!

60. IM Igor Moizhess (lighter) FIDE 2398 Another strictly bullet player! (so far)

61. (vaska)(GM) another anonymous GM. ICC Blitz rating (3101) best of 3163 Played 5 games, last one a draw. Hasn't played since (back on Feb 1, 08)

62. (camelovich)(GM) anonymous, ICC Blitz rating (2953) best of 3365. Bullet player.

63. (IBorg)(GM anonymous, ICC Blitz (3154) best 3505, 1 win vs TransWarp! Not active lately.

64. GM Pentala Harikrishna (tomcruise) FIDE 2679 (#41 in the world) Another top GM from India, note on world rankings, there are ties, for example GM Harikrishna is tied with GM's V. Gashimov & K. Sasikiran with the 30th best at 2679 counting ties. FIDE gives the person with the most games played in that list the best spot. GM Harikrishna played 30 games so gets #41.
Gashimov had 18 to get #42. Seems like a fair tiebreak system.

65. GM Axel Bachmann (olimpus) FIDE 2519 Another cool player, recently awarded his GM title.

66. (Peachy) a strong ICC Blitz player at (2979) with a best of 3259 Never know who it could be.

67. (TheRealThing) A very strong Blitz player with an ICC rating of (3425) best of 3489. Tried 9 games vs TransWarp but came back empty handed. Seems to be inactive now. Nice to know who this was.

68. GM Bassem Amin (B-Amin) FIDE 2558 Strictly a bullet player with TransWarp, hasn't played in a while.

69. GM Baadur Jobava (Oligarkh) FIDE 2658 (#60 in the world) Played 5 games, last one a draw back in Jan. Who knows, might play again..

70. (Coffeehouse)(GM) anonymous ICC Blitz (3307) also best. 2 wins vs TransWarp last played in Feb. A nice player whoever it is.

71. IM Anton Kovalyov (kava) FIDE 2525 not much to say.. 1st started aborting games, was warned, but then started with the repeating moves and blockade business. What gratification can there be in doing the same thing over and over, gee Ma I drew a computer using the same moves for the 50th time! Did you see my "How to conquer Quake book?" I just don't believe there is anything to be gained by using a proven system repeatedly, do you learn anything after the 5th time? Yeah, that a computer will play a certain way in a certain position until the programmer can fix this weakness. A good comparison also is there are people who solved Rubik's Cube on their own, but yeah.. most learned from a book that taught patterns to recognize, then the cube sits unused... Who got the most out of it, the person who learned on their own. But the catch is...now the solution is out there, Pandora's box has been opened. This is why TransWarp now has a strict policy of noplaying players who repeat known moves to achieve blockades and then just moving a piece back and forth. I'm not talking about going 20 moves into the Ruy...and going for the win, but the deliberate attempts at blockading with no intent of trying for a win. Now I've nothing against kava...this just happened to be the place where I was reminded of the issue and naturally, I feel strongly about it.

72. GM Arkadij Naiditsch (James123) FIDE 2624 Just fell out of the FIDE Top 100 list. He has played many games vs TransWarp and is very cordial. A cool guy to have in this list and lucky he played TransWarp.

73. (Parbat)(GM) anonymous GM account. Inactive lately, ICC Blitz rating (2954) Played 1 standard game.

74. IM Garun Nureev (Corrector) Was anonymous account until Dos Hermanas. Played 75 games, hopefully will play more.

75. GM Varuzhan Akobian (SCORPION83) FIDE 2601 Played quite a few games in March, 08 Nice guy, hopefully will see him in my history list again! A top rated GM in the USA!

31. Jorge Sammour-Hasbun (NECF-InSchools) FIDE 2463 however, an excellent Blitz player, Winning the online Dos Hermanas Blitz Chess Tournament 2 years in a row!

32. GM Mark Bluvshtein (canadiankid) FIDE 2544 Gives TW a run for it's money every now and then!

33. IM Abhijeet Gupta (bhaiyu) FIDE 2521 I think this Indian IM has been awarded the GM title, that's what it shows on the FIDE site, but ICC still has (IM) behind his handle...hmn.

34. (Neveris)(GM) anonymous GM. ICC Blitz rating (2824) best was 3101, a good player.

35. IM Kim Commons (Kingway) FIDE 2445 Nothing like an IM who enjoys playing computers!

49. IM Lucas Liascovich (insolente) FIDE 2419 Another Bullet player!

about 40 more to go, will do it asap, getting tired!

Various Players TransWarp has encountered Pt. 1

Here's a list of opponents that TransWarp has faced. I will post their real name if available on ICC, followed by (ICC Handle) or in case of anonymous accounts, I will just post their ICC Handles. All FIDE ratings from April, 2008 Rating Supplement.

1. GM Gata Kamsky (Talion) FIDE 2726 (#15 in the world)- Who will be facing GM Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria FIDE 2767 (#4 in the world) for a chance to play for the World Championship. Go Gata!

2. GM Hikaru Nakamura (Smallville) FIDE 2686 (#34 in the world) Rating should be a bit higher, he's been on a tear lately. But in my opinion, should concentrate on chess instead of pointless and petty things that seem to bother him. Put that energy into his game, not the people around him. 29 wins vs TransWarp (Not bothering to count the blockade and move a piece back & forth)

3. GM Hristos Banikas (bani) FIDE 2600 (#2 in Greece) A very nice man, quiet but very polite.

4. GM Maxim Dlugy (Dlugy) FIDE 2518 a past World Junior Champion & Major Tourny Winner. A really cool guy. Check out http://www.dlugy.com/ for more info!

5. GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (Mateus) FIDE 2632 (#91 in world) A top French GM!

6. GM (Rahmaninov) FIDE Unk ICC Blitz 3000 A very courteous player, nice visits at times.

7. GM Alexey Dreev (Dreev) FIDE 2657 (#62 in world) A very nice player as well (just a note, a lot of people consider (C) computer accounts as just that, the computer, not the face behind the account, who paid the money, etc..spent a lot to get it going & just plain ignore/insult you. Why I note the cool players, like Dreev).

8. GM Zviad Izoria (Pikaso) FIDE 2625 (just missing top 100) #3 player of Georgia (Country not state, sheesh you guys!) ;) Nice player, of his 2 draws, one was "no material" I like these draws, no blockade involved, a true draw!

9. (Nielsen) ICC Blitz 3392 A very strong player, had a supposed feud with Smallville, rumor mill says it's Magnus Carlsen, who knows...if so would be FIDE 2765 and #5 in world! Has 1 win vs TransWarp. (Will do page with total mates of TransWarp)

10. IM Damian Lemos (Blitz-King) FIDE 2458 ICC Blitz 3340 A pretty cool Dude from Argentina, confirmation that yes, indeed, women from Argentina are hot.

11. GM Andrey Deviatkin (Shadeath) ELO 2568 Just awarded his GM title! (IM when played) Congrats Andrey!

12. GM Ilya Gurevich (junior) FIDE 2586 Another World Junior Champion! Doesn't play much OTB anymore it seems. Another cool guy!

13. GM Pablo Zarnicki (garompon) FIDE 2515 Yet another World Junior Champion! Well known on ICC.

14. IM Jeorg Blauert (MRXYZ2) FIDE 2358 Doesn't play too often, but fun to watch!

15. GM Laurent Fressinet (Coluche) FIDE 2656 (#65 in the world) hasn't played in a while.

16. GM Melikset Khachiyan (dragon-70) FIDE 2500 Took 37 swings at TW!

17. GM Rauf Mamedov (GeneraLisimus) FIDE 2617 Just missed top 100 (last two tied at 2628) also plays under many anonymous accounts, Franchesko was one, until he used it in an online tournament that revealed the names (Like Dos Hermanas) and abandoned it afterwards.

18. GM Julian Radulski (Zeratul) FIDE 2514 One of my favorite players, he would play a lot of bullet until the darn puter got over 700pts higher... I hope he understands that playing without chance of gain of at least 1 pt, some players tend not to care how they play and don't play their best.

19. (ASSAULT4EVER)(GM) ICC Blitz (2590) an ICC best of 2988. Another anonymous GM.

20. (Randon)(IM) ICC Blitz (2685) an ICC best of 3189. An anonymous IM, nice person though!

21. IM Nikolay Noritsyn (KAPAMA30B) FIDE 2367 Was an anonymous IM, but Dos Hermanas shows real names in crosstables. He's really a cool guy and a very good Bullet player, getting a win vs TransWarp in Bullet!

22. GM Alexander Rustemov (Goldmund) FIDE 2552 A very good Blitz player! However we did have a disagreement about a certain defense that he found he could use against TransWarp and blockade and flag for wins.. a version of the French Winawer: advance variation...he played the same game over and over for 18 times...what happens? TransWarp gets norated! When it's clearly in ICC's Help Abuse file, Note #7 :

"7. Playing the same line over and over against a computer, to gain rating
points. We will edit your rating to whatever we feel is reasonable if
you do this."

I will address this problem (ongoing, but not with Goldmund), in another entry, it's a long story. But Alexander is cool at least with TransWarp. But there is a serious problem going on with certain opening/s.

23. (markovicg) Goran Markovic ICC Blitz (2910) best of 3059, a very strong blitz & bullet player.

24. GM Alexander Riazantsev (A-Riazantsev) FIDE 2638 (#83 in the world) been absent lately.

25. GM Ibro Saric (Sensei24) FIDE 2541* with recent tournament activity should be 2554, but his FIDE personal card says unrated, but rating chart shows otherwise...who knows? It's FIDE!

First Post

This is the official blog of TransWarp(C) A computer chess playing account on ICC, The Internet Chess Club. WWW.Chessclub.com Soon I hope to post the names of GM's and IM's that have played TransWarp. I cannot obviously post anonymous accounts. But it will be interesting to see the the names behind the handles of accounts that are not anonymous, without having to do a search on ICC. Also some select games, some things I do NOT like, etc. Stay tuned.

RE: FTC Blogger Compensation Endorsement Rule Dec 01, 2009

While TransWarp Chess does get compensation for banner ads from Google Adsense, Google Affiliate Program, Commission Junction Affiliate Program and Allposters.com. TransWarp Chess does try not to personally Endorse any specific product, while I the blogger may like the idea of certain products and services, it is up to you, the reader to decide if a product deserves to be looked at via the ads. I comment on chess and computer chess, this blog is NOT about the products that are featured in the ads. At any rate, to date TransWarp Chess' blog and the small sister blog Paranormal Questions, has in it's account $1.59 from Google Adsense, no distribution of funds until $50.00, $0.00 from Google Affiliate Program and $0.00 from CJ Affiliate Program, $5.74 in holding at Allposters.com until $25.00 is reached in commissions. All this well over a year of blogging, I guess some abuse the blogging system to the point that this rule was made, I hope this satisfies the FTC regulation, as to what I heard on the site, it sounded like if the blog itself was dedicated to a specific product/s. But best to be safe.

About Me

My photo
Not much to say, a disabled dude who blogs when he can for fun and some spare change, really that's what it's been so far, spare change! But that's life, doing this helps it go by a little less painful by keeping my mind occupied. A tumbleweed would do that at this point :P Have fun and Take Each Day as a Gift!
