Round 6 ended peacefully at all tables with draws between the opponents. There are a couple of results so far today (Round 7) with GM Dreev winning over GM Hernandez and a draw between GM Stefanova and GM Lopez and now a win by GM Gulko with the black pieces.

Between these two rounds, the US elected Barack Obama as the new President, making history as the first Black President, usually, you hear African-American, but this may be confusing, as of course President-Elect Obama is 100% American first. Had McCain won, there would have been a first woman Vice-President. So over all, the Election was a guaranteed first for one of the tickets. (Gov. Palin isn't the first woman to run as a Vice-Presidential candidate, that honor going to Geraldine Ferraro.)
